I was lying on the back with my eyes open for a very long time. Lying immersed in a soft worm heavy drowse. Feeling a nagging pain accumulated in my whole body. Have to rise. But have no wish to do so.
I struggled to get up and looked around the glade covered with rotten leaves, elongated blurred tree shadows and the hazy spot of Sun trying to break through the fog. The water was coming close to me. Have to rise. To rise and move ahead before the water caused by dull rain, comes closer, before it swallowed me up like it did to the others, to their houses, to the whole world.
Stumbling in my wet somewhere decayed and torn by damp clothes I got up and wandered away from the river. With each step I plugged deeper into the moist soil. I was literally drowning in water-soaked earth.

Я лежал на спине с открытыми глазами уже довольно долго. Лежал погрузившись в мягкую тёплую тяжёлую дремоту. Ощущая по всему телу ноющую боль накопившейся усталости. Надо вставать, но нет никакого желания это делать.
С трудом приподнявшись, я оглядел покрытую подгнившими листьями поляну, удлинённые размытые тени деревьев и мутное пятно пытавшегося пробиться сквозь туман Солнца. Вплотную ко мне подступала вода. Надо вставать. Вставать и идти дальше, пока прибывающая из-за этого бесконечного унылого дождя вода не поглотила и меня, как она уже поступила с другими, с их домами, со всем миром.
Путаясь в промокшей, местами истлевшей и порвавшейся от сырости одежде, я поднялся и побрёл прочь от реки. С каждым шагом я всё глубже погружался во влажную почву. Я буквально тонул в пропитавшейся водой земле.
